Joining Us

Two ways to join us

If you are interested in joining and singing with Wight Harmony, there are a couple of options.

You are most welcome to come along to any of our rehearsal nights - every Thursday - to see how we work and to see if you like us. Just come and introduce yourself. Details of our rehearsal nights are on our Welcome page.

Another great way of joining us, is by attending our 6 week 'Learn to Sing' course [main picture above and right] that we hold every 2 years, usually in the autumn. This is a perfect way of learning to sing in the a cappella, 4-part close-harmony Barbershop style.

Our next 'Learn to Sing' course for men aged 16 and over, will be in September 2019. But you do not need to wait until then to join us. As mentioned above, just come to one of our rehearsal nights.

However you approach this, you can be certain of a warm welcome. We WANT you to succeed. You also do not have to read music although it's a bonus if you do. You will be given an audition song to learn which we call a six-week audition, the period you have to learn it [lyrics and notes]. You will get help at every step of the way as you journey into the barbershop style of a cappella style of singing. Once you pass the audition, you become a full member of the club Wight Harmony and a member of BABS.
